The Incheon Institute (II) conducts systematic and reality-based research, as well as being responsible for carrying out surveys and analyses on various tasks and general issues regarding Incheon City, all in the pursuit to help the city establish and implement regional policies.
Conducting surveys and research projects on primary policy tasks, seeking ways of improving regional administration systems, and securing regional finances
Carrying out research projects entrusted by governments, government-invested agencies, and private organizations
Developing various economic and social indicators for the city
Gathering, maintaining, publishing and distributing information both at home and abroad that is related to regional government administration
Engaging in exchanges and cooperation with research institutes both at home and abroad, as well as conducting comparative reviews on international research results
Seeking development strategies for Incheon in becoming a hub of northeast Asia and conducting related research and surveys
Running specialized education programs utilizing the institute’s expertise
Conducting surveys and research projects regarding mid- and long- term development plans as well as for discovering major current issues affecting the city government administration
